Q: I am confused as to whether I should buy NOVO or NOVO Premium?
A: The primary difference between NOVO and NOVO Premium is the amount of access you wish to have to a Nutritionist.
With NOVO you communicate with a Nutritionist three times (at week 1, 3, and 5) either via phone or email. The comprehensive help book and the guidance that you are given with your results will be enough for some people to keep them going strong until week 5 when they will start reintroducing foods.
With NOVO Premium you have personal guidance with a Nutritionist weekly. Your Nutritionist will walk you through the comprehensive help book and help you track your progress week by week. After studying your specific NOVO results, your Nutritionist can give you some good recipe ideas, help you plan meals, discuss NOVO-safe options for eating out or at parties, track your symptoms and progress while giving you plenty of motivation and support. Some people feel that the additional guidance for an already "easy to follow" program makes it that much easier to do!

Q: Where will I meet with my Nutritionist?
A: You work over the phone and via email with your Nutritionist. In some cases, we can even send a Nutritionist to you at an additional cost. Please contact us with special needs.
-
Q: If I decide to do the NOVO program and later decide that I need more time with my Nutritionist, can I upgrade to NOVO Premium?
A: Of course you can! If at anytime you decide that you want to work with a Nutritionist on a personal basis, you can easily upgrade to NOVO Premium for the cost difference of $500. Simply go to our Programs page and place your order.

Q: What about after the first 10 weeks? Can I still work with a NOVO Nutritionist?
A: Yes. We have special programs available for that. Contact us for more details.
-
Q: I have my own Nutritionist. Do I need to work with yours?
A: That is your choice. Although the NOVO program is easy to follow and the help notes are thorough, our Nutritionists are trained in the NOVO philosophy and are best suited to give you great advice and explanation of your blood analysis. We recommend that you take advantage of that resource.
-
Q: When is the best time to start NOVO?
A: You can start NOVO whenever you want! Most people achieve results within the first 5 weeks. In the first week, however, your symptoms may get worse as your body flushes itself out. Also, if you have a trip or special event planned, you will need to be conscious of sticking to NOVO safe food. Consider bringing food with you or calling ahead to arrange special dietary requirements. Your Nutritionist can give you suggestions based on your food list.

Q: What is the difference between NOVO and an allergy test?
A: An allergy test looks for a very specific response to food – a high production of a particular anti-body. Reactions caused by food allergies are entirely different from food intolerance, often manifested as breathing difficulties, swelling of tongue, mouth, lips, eyes or throat, large itchy red lumps on the skin, continuous sneezing, etc. The NOVO program diagnoses whether a food causes an inflammatory response in the body by looking at the level of white blood cells in response to a food. It is not an allergy test since it does not test for histamine production in response to foods.

Q: Can I share my NOVO test results with my sibling?
A: No. Everyone’s body composition is different. Therefore, a food that you react to may not be one that even someone who is close to you genetically may react to. NOVO is individualized for everyone. It is not a one size fits all approach. You should recommend that your sibling have her own test done.
